OUR MISSION
The mission of Columbus Street Hockey (CSH) is to provide a safe and fun environment for children (Ages 4-17) to learn and play street hockey, while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle. CSH is committed to providing everyone in the community the opportunity to have fun while learning how to play the game of hockey. CSH is available to all interested regardless of race, gender, creed, sexual orientation, and socio/economic background.

Help Us Keep the Game Alive for Every Kid

At Columbus Street Hockey, we believe every child deserves the chance to play, grow, and belong—no matter their background or financial situation. We provide a safe, inclusive, and competitive environment where youth in our community can enjoy the game of hockey at no cost to their families.

But we can’t do it alone.

Columbus Plays Hockey" – A Rink for Every Kid. A Legacy for the City.

We are launching Operation Biscuit – a bold initiative to build a state-of-the-art outdoor ball hockey rink at the Frank Chester Recreation Center in Columbus, GA.

With your help, we will transform an open field into a vibrant, free-access space where kids can play safely, stay active, and grow through the sport of hockey — no ice needed.

This project isn't just about hockey. It's about:

Youth Empowerment – Teaching teamwork, leadership, and perseverance.

Health Equity – Providing physical activity opportunities in underserved areas.

Community Legacy – Building a permanent, positive space that serves generations.

Why Now?

Columbus is home to a passionate and growing hockey community from our local youth leagues to the Columbus River Dragons professional team. For the last two years, we’ve used tennis courts and temporary setups to bring the game to life.

Now, with community partners like EmpowerPlay, we’re ready to build a permanent home for ball hockey—two rinks: one full-size (165’ x 75’) and one youth-sized (100’ x 50’).

But we need you to help make this happen.

Your donation—big or small—will go directly to construction, equipment, and community programs. You’ll be funding:

Rink infrastructure

Youth clinics and leagues

Safety gear and goals

We’ve already lined up amazing supporters, but we need the community to get us across the finish line.
